The Iota Pi TKE Alumni Association is made up of all alumni members of the Iota Pi chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon. The mission of the Alumni Association is to bring our alumni together to live their bond in the Fraternity for Life.
To that end, the Alumni Association is committed to fostering a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive environment for all its members. This Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for behavior to ensure the activities and interactions reflect the values of Tau Kappa Epsilon as outlined in the Declaration of Principles.
- Respect and Inclusivity
- Treat all members, guests, and partners with respect, regardless of their background, age, race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or personal beliefs.
- Actively promote an environment that is free of harassment, discrimination, and bullying.
- Professionalism
- Conduct yourself in a manner that reflects positively on the Fraternity and the Alumni Association.
- Avoid behavior or language that could be considered offensive, disruptive, or harmful to others.
- Membership Exclusivity
- Members of the Iota Pi TKE Alumni Association are expected to be loyal in their bond to Tau Kappa Epsilon.
- Membership in or the active promotion of a competing Fraternity or alumni organization that undermines the mission or values of Tau Kappa Epsilon or the Iota Pi Alumni Association is prohibited.
- Confidentiality and Privacy
- Respect the privacy of other members and the confidentiality of group discussions and decisions.
- Do not share sensitive or private information without express written permission from the Board.
- Support and Engagement
- Participate actively in events, discussions, and initiatives to the best of your ability.
- Support the Alumni Associations goals to uphold its mission to promote camaraderie and mentorship.
- Responsible Use of Resources
- Use the group’s communication channels and funds responsibly and ethically.
- Use of the group’s name (or any variation thereof) or resources for personal gain or unauthorized purposes is prohibited.
- Conflict Resolution
- Address conflicts respectfully and constructively, seeking resolution through open dialogue and mediation when necessary.
- Report any violations of this Code of Conduct to the Alumni Association Board promptly.
- Accountability
- Understand that violations of this Code of Conduct may result in corrective actions, including but not limited to warnings, probation, suspension, or removal
